Yoga Teacher & Founder of Sugarcane Yoga
I began my journey into yoga in an unexpected and life changing way. Years of a working as a chef in the restaurant industry had created chronic stress and back problems – I had been suffering from constant pain for months when I walked in the door of my first Vinyasa yoga class and knew immediately I had found something integral to my healing.
Through a regular yoga and meditation practice, I found increased flexibility and strength, and reduced physical pain, stress, and anxiety. Practicing yoga allowed me the space for real growth and personal development; I started yoga to find relief from physical symptoms, but found so much more in a deeper mind-body integration. Inspired to support others in their journey to wellness I left my career in the restaurant industry and founded Sugarcane Yoga.
My classes are accessible to students of all backgrounds, ages, and experiences. My classes invite a sense of challenge, movement, meditation, and deep relaxation. I design intelligent sequences that blend styles into customized yoga classes to help her clients heal, grow, and explore their own connection to their body and mind. My teachings are a reflection of what I love to practice: a focus on body mechanics and anatomy for safety and longevity, and a strong awareness of breath to stay rooted in the present moment.
All my classes are tailored to the individual, group, or special occasion. I teach Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin and Adaptive yoga classes. I also offer beginner classes, meditation, and chair yoga. My clients are my inspiration for teaching and I love to share the practice that has been so important to my well-being with others whether it be in your home, workplace, or special occasion.
